Today I had the pleasure of spending the day with my cousin Birgit, whom I’m related to on my paternal grandmother’s side. I took the train from Oslo, and she picked me up for a wonderful day visiting fortresses in both Fredrikstad and Halden.
We ended the day with a lovely middag in her hyggelige home with her husband, Hans-Erik. I felt so welcomed—and even better, I spent the entire day speaking Norwegian! 🇳🇴
